YAY, WE’RE ONE!

The desire of having conversations on what the chapbook, Lost Boys addressed; boyhood, maleness, and manhood led to the launching of The Bridge HUB. Ever since we started, we have sat down as men to talk and have conversations. Yea, we have had different conversations even though most men are not comfortable with talking or being vulnerable, because we prefer to suck things in and let them fester. We built this formidable community where we have those #MeToo moments and realise we are going through almost the same things. Even though we try to front that we are putting our shit together, we need help, direction, and satisfaction that we are part of something big that can make us be who God has created and designed us to be.

The Last Hangout was a great experience and I really enjoyed been there; I was very inspired

I have always wanted to tell you that you are doing great work.

I see consistency in thoughts and time.

And I appreciate that you give other writers space in your brainchild.

The idea is not to pose as a fixer, because I can’t fix men. It is to go on a journey with boys and men that God is more than willing to fix and see that we do better. It has been a hub where men are given room to be in a non-judgmental atmosphere where they can be themselves, have a real connection and share what is bothering them. It’s for men that are willing to help themselves through the help of God to be all they have been called to be.

We have been achieving this through our consistent weekly blog posts and two major Hangouts.

The bridge Hub has been a blessing to me. It’s been a family where guys come together to learn, to grow and most importantly be vulnerable. Also, the blog has been a tremendous blessing to me. Different writers, different themes and different things to learn from and to consider. I am so grateful for the first anniversary and I look forward to more and more growth and more physical gatherings like those that have been held in the course of the year and greater impact. A big thank you to our coordinator, Silas Bamigbola. I am trusting God this New Year will bring greater tidings and expansion on every side in Jesus name!

Happy Anniversary!

Yeah, The Bridge Hub is an eye-opener for me, it made me see life in another dimension

Our mission is to cause paradigm shifts in the minds of the male gender and let them know things can be done better if they can allow God to transform their minds. We want to show them the main reason he created man as an entity. We have worked tirelessly through the grace of God to achieve that and we won’t stop!

I was blessed to be at the last hangout. It was a great experience being with other young men and interacting in an environment of transparency, openness and vulnerability. This is usually rare to find among men. I must also mention the blog posts which are very real and helpful. God bless the Bridge HUB!

Before, I had always loved to talk and advocate for the girl child. To me then, men were the advantaged and women deserved to be treated better.

The Bridgehub made me realize how myopic I was. I’ve been reading the contents here and I’ve been sharing them too. I’ve been blessed and more importantly exposed to the truth.

The Bridge HUB is committed to taking men from being lost, a state most males find themselves in, and through the process of finding themselves become the men God has created them to be. Therefore it is a structure that allows people (men) to cross obstacles that prevent them from becoming who God wants them to be. The Hub creates a real connection.

Honestly?

I’ve not been an ardent follower of the Hub.

I binge watch what Silas is doing here from afar but there are some days…

Some days, where the quotes get at me, in all the right places.

I screenshot every piece that comes my way from the Hub.

When Silas came up with TBH, it was a huge relief for my burdened heart. A heart, worried about what will happen to the boys who’ll become the men if every initiative starts to fight for the girl child at the expense of the boys.

Who’ll train the boys to be men? Who will enlighten them on stereotypes?

The questions were unending.

Until Jesus brought Silas. I know it’s not looking a whole lot like it’s reaching anywhere now but the exponential effect is coming!

Eyes have not seen. Ears have not heard. No heart can even comprehend what the Lord will do with TBH.

Thank you, Silas, for doing the father’s business.

May the Lord strengthen your hands, keep your heart on Him, and hold your knees down for these dear lives, ✨🖤

While I believe that the girl child is very delicate and all matters relating to her must be handled with care, I was becoming very concerned that much attention was being given to the girl child at the expense of the intentional nurturing of the boy child.

If everyone is looking out for our girls, who would look out for our boys, I thought. It was around this time that the bridge HUB showed up.

I have been to all of the Bridge HUB hangouts, and it’s a beautiful thing to see young men share so freely, pray and laugh together when society has programmed us to ‘Man Up’ and ‘Bottle Up’.

Thank you Silas for shining your light, it’s not only making the world a better place, but it’s inspiring many to also shine their light.

God bless you, Sir!

The Bridge Hub is a vision established to fill in the gap of the negligence of the male gender, a gender also needed to be taken care of.

I was part of her second hangout, the program was an eye-opener. It ranged from self-discovery and breaking out of the shell of ignorance.

It was channelled towards charting a new course and taking giant strides towards purpose fulfilment.

The Bridge Hub is actually one of the needed outfits meant to equip the male gender to live a fulfilled and balanced life in such a time as this.

I enjoyed the hangout. It was a big success!

The Bridge HUB helps to build a generation of young guys and it’s so interesting to be a part of it. Young guys are being led to walk uprightly before God!

Thanks, Silas 🙏

The Bridge HUB has been a safe haven  for me with the instrument of words that have triggered my subconscious mind whenever I want to give in to the devil.

God bless you for following God’s instructions even while in your pains and struggles.

Have a wonderful year! 🎊🎉

With the implementation of this HUB and many works we’ve been doing to achieve our purpose, it has helped men and make them please God better with their maleness.

THE BRIDGE HUB FIRST HANGOUT

After Lost Boys got published on the 27th of August 2017, this idea of having opportunities to have conversations on what the book addressed and more around boyhood, maleness, and manhood danced in my mind. Ever since, my mind has played scenes of me sitting down with other men to talk, yea talk because the truth is, most men are not comfortable with talking, with being vulnerable because they prefer to suck things in and let them fester. But, I have been thinking how would it be if men of all ages are willing to hang out and talk and find solace in themselves through God, would we turn out better? If we can have these #MeToo moments and realise we actually are going through almost the same things and even if we try to hide that fact, we actually need help, direction, and satisfaction that we are part of something big that can make us be who God has created and designed us to be.

The desire for this birthed The Bridge HUB on the 27th of August, 2020. It is a hub where activities and everything will be done to cause paradigm shifts in the minds of males and let them know that things can be done better if they can allow God to transform their minds and show them the main reason he created the man as an entity.

On the 5th of December will be our first Hangout and it is vital because history will be made on that day.

Our Focus: Real Conversations on Purpose

Time Interval: 2:45 pm – 5:00 pm.

Keynote Speaker: IfeOluwa Fatoki

Venue: Ogbomoso.

The bridge from here to where God wants you to be is your purpose. That is why you need to understand why He has created you so that you can walk in it to give him pleasure and bless lives.

Register here: http://bit.ly/thebridgehub

Knowing your purpose is not so hard, you just need to know how to go about it. You do it by going to your creator through Jesus Christ and by faith to ask him what garden He has put you in to tend and keep. God will definitely speak to you because God has never been known to leave anyone in the dark about their purpose and how to fulfil the purpose step by step.

We hope the hangout answers the questions on purpose so that participants understand their purpose well, learn practical steps on how to do that and fulfil our purpose to glorify God.

We will have an Open Discussion where we shall share our heart on How to Deal with the Feelings of Inadequacy as Males, have a Panel Discussion session with three incredible young men, we shall listen to God’s word, pray, play games and break bread together.

The Hangout is to have a non-judgmental atmosphere where we can be ourselves, have a real connection and share what is bothering us, and be willing to help one another through the help of God to get better.

I am elated and anticipate to fellowship and have fun with great men.
